The content of the coating is 1 kg and consists of 0.9 kg A component and 0.1 kg B component. With this you canapply a coating layer with a surface area of 10 m². However, to make the substrate completely waterproof, it is
recommended to apply two layers.

NOTE: Be sure to mix only the amount you need. After the two components are mixed, it is not possible to store the product in a sealed can. The process triggered by mixing can lead to high pressure and possibly cause an explosion of the can.

Necessities:

  • Two-component WALL PRO waterproof system
  • Agitator on drilling machine
  • Roller, brush or spraying equipment
  • Acrylic sealant

The Steps

STEP 1: Substrate preparation

The surface on which you want to apply the coating must be dry, clean and grease-free. Wait at least 48 hours after wallpapering before applying the coating. Also check that the wallpaper is properly bonded to the substrate.

When coating on a wallpaper with ecotexture, surface print wallpaper, chalk paint wallpaper or other embossed wallpaper, pretreatment with WALL PRO PRO-601 waterproof system primer is required. This primer ensures a smooth surface and a good adhesion process. When using the primer, keep in mind that the colors of the wallpaper may become more intense/darker.

NOTE: The application temperature should be between 10 – 35°C with a relative humidity between 30 – 75%. Do not apply at a substrate temperature below 5°C (min. 3°C above dew point).

STEP 2: Add the 2 components together

Add component B to component A and mix firmly with an agitator on a drill for 2 minutes. Then let the mixture stand for 5 minutes before processing.

STEP 3: Apply the first layer

Apply the first layer of the coating with a short-haired, non-fluffy coat roller, a brush or spray equipment. If using rollers, it is important to wax them well. Use a small brush for edges. Apply the coating in a thin, even layer. When applying by roller or brush, it is wise to roll over the recently painted surface once more while it is still wet. If necessary, use a wider roller for this purpose.

NOTE: The coating turns blue during application, but dries transparent.
